Air Fryer Grilled Cheese
Just when you think the air fryer couldn't get any better... An air fryer grilled cheese is truly a work of art. The outside is golden and delicious (and you'll never worry about one side burning) and the inside is filled with melty, gooey cheese. In just a few short minutes you'll have one of the best grilled cheeses you've ever tasted.
Ingredients
| 4 slices | thick sourdough bread |
| 1 cup | Le Gruyere AOP cheese, shredded |
| 2 cups | Le Gruyere AOP cheese, shredded |
| ½ cup | grated Switzerland Swiss cheese |
| 2 tbsp | unsalted butter, softened |
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 380 F.
- Spread softened butter onto the outside of the bread slices and repeat with the other two slices.
- Add cheese evenly onto half the bread slices. Add the remaining slice of bread on top of the cheese, butter side up. Secure top bread slices with toothpicks as the air fryer may blow around the bread's placement.
- Place 1 sandwich (you can do two if they will both fit) into the air fryer and fry for 2-3 minutes. Check the sandwich and flip if it is golden brown. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Remove toothpicks before eating.
